E-commerce executive dies

Published on . Inc. said Monday that its CEO and President Sean Maloy, 42, has died of a heart attack. The San Diego-based professional services firm specializing in purchasing said Maloy will be succeeded by company founder and Chairman Marcel van Heesewijk. A search committee has been formed to find a long-term CEO. Under Maloy, who joined the company in early 1999, landed $8.1 million in venture capital, achieved Nasdaq listing status and landed a long-term deal with French retailing giant Carrefour SA.
