E-mail users: ISPs, marketers must prevent spam

More than 80% of e-mail users think e-mail advertisers and Internet Service Providers are responsible for preventing spam, according to the findings of an Osterman Research survey on messaging issues. Respondents also indicated that just over one-quarter (26%) of e-mail users think ISPs have been effective in addressing the problem, and only 11% of users say vendors have been effective.
