E-marketplace deals starting to bloom

Chicago--It's been a busy week for b-to-b e-marketplace partnerships and mergers. On Tuesday, two construction industry markets, and, merged. Thursday, two separate deals went down. Consumer packaged goods industry marketplace Transora, Chicago, said it will partner with independent markets and Inc. to develop joint pilot programs for moving transactions between the different marketplaces. Separately, the airline Net market AirNewco and aerospace manufacturer hub said they would merge their marketplaces. The combined company will focus on five areas: maintenance and engineering; fuel and fuel services; catering and cabin services; airport support services; and general procurement. Finally, industry marketplace said Friday it has signed a letter of intent to work with independent Inc. SeafoodAlliance will use Gofish as its e-commerce and marketplace engine.
