Eloqua taps Shootman as president

Vienna, Va.—Marketing automation company Eloqua Corp. has promoted Alex Shootman from chief revenue officer to president, a new position at the company. In his new role, Shootman will be responsible for Eloqua's customer-facing activities, including sales, account management, support and channels. He will continue to report to Chairman-CEO Joe Payne. Prior to joining Eloqua in 2009, Shootman was senior VP-worldwide sales at Vignette Corp., a content and document management company He has also held sales positions at IBM Corp. and business outsourcing company TeleTech Holdings.
