Email Experience Council partners with Iconix to fight e-mail fraud

New York—The Email Experience Council, the Direct Marketing Association’s e-mail marketing arm, Wednesday announced a partnership with Iconix, a company that provides visual e-mail identification tools. Legitimate e-mail messages from the council will be marked with the Iconix Truemark icon in recipients’ inboxes. As part of the partnership with Iconix, the council will also make the Iconix eMail ID plug-in freely available to its members and the public on its Web site. Iconix last week announced that its service was available for AOL Mail, AIM Mail, Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007.
