EMarketer predicts online ad spending will grow 4.8% this year

New York--Online ad spending will grow to $6.3 billion this year, up 4.8% over spending of $6 billion in 2002, according to the July Advertising Spending Report from research firm eMarketer. By 2006, online ad spending will reach $8.1 billion, the report predicts. Overall U.S. ad spending will total $248.25 billion this year, growing to $293 billion by 2006, eMarketer forecasts.
