Menlo Park, Calif.—Facebook has acquired Glancee, a provider of mobile technology that enables users to find others based on mutual connections and locations. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
San Francisco-based Glancee has discontinued its service, but users can download their messages from the company's site
for an undisclosed period of time.
The Glancee team will join Facebook. In March, Facebook began selling ads
on its mobile site via its new Premium on Facebook program.
