Fairchild names DeBartolo exec VP of b-to-b division

New York--Fairchild Publications, a subsidiary of Advance Publications, announced Tuesday that Mike DeBartolo has been promoted to exec VP of the company's b-to-b division.

DeBartolo was previously VP-group publisher of the division, which includes such titles as DNR, Footwear News, Supermarket News, HFN, InFurniture and Executive Technology.

“Under Mike’s leadership, Fairchild’s b-to-b division has outperformed the market by growing ad revenues 14% in 2003, on top of 2% growth in 2002," Mary G. Berner, Fairchild's president-CEO, said in a statement. DeBartolo has credited Fairchild's success in a down b-to-b market to a pay-for-performance approach.
