Google acquires Picasa

Mountain View, Calif.—Google announced it has acquired Picasa, a Pasadena, Calif.-based digital photo management company.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Picasa is a 3-year-old company that enables clients to publish, manage and share digital photographs.

Google said it will combine Picasa’s expertise with its Blogger service. It had previously had a partnership with Picasa.
