Mountain View, Calif.—Google has acquired The Dealmap, an aggregator of daily deals, which was launched last year. The Dealmap has more than 2 million users of its Web, mobile, social and email products, the company said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In a post on its company blog, Dealmap said, “We believe Google provides the ideal platform to help us accelerate our growth and fulfill our mission.” Google reportedly offered $6 billion to acquire Groupon, another daily deals site, but was rebuffed.
