Mountain View, Calif.—Google, whose free Google Analytics is the most used Web analytics platform, has introduced Google Analytics Premium, a paid service offering extended capabilities. For a flat $150,000 annual fee, Google Premium Analytics adds account manager support; 24/7 phone and email support and training; and enhanced limits on data collection, custom variables, reporting and attribution modeling. According to BtoB's July report, “Web Analytics: Practices and Trends From the Field,” 65% of marketers use Google Analytics, followed by paid platforms Adobe/Omniture (9%) and Webtrends (6%). On Thursday, Google upgraded its free version with real-time analysis of activity on a site. The new technology comes courtesy of the company's acquisition in June of analytics company PostRank.
