Google launches AdWords Local PlusBox

Mountain View, Calif.—Google announced the debut of AdWords Local PlusBox, a new user interface design for local business ads.

Google said search ads located above the organic search results can now include a so-called “plusbox” that can be expanded to display a map, the business address, phone number and driving instructions for that business.

It means advertisers can expose more detailed information about their businesses through a single ad and will not be charged when a user expands the plusbox or clicks on maps or driving directions.
