Google revenue doubles

Mountain View, Calif.—Google's third-quarter revenue more than doubled to $805.9 million, compared with the year-earlier period.

The newly public company reported $11.1 million in earnings, down from $66.6 million in last year's third quarter. This year's figure included a one-time, nonrecurring charge of $201.0 million related to the company's settlement of patent disputes with Yahoo!.

Revenue generated on partner sites through AdSense programs represented 48% of total revenues.
