Great Plains announces new brand strategy

Fargo, N.D. -- Great Plains, a provider of electronic commerce and other business application software, announced Monday a new corporate brand strategy to reflect the company's changing business focus. The new strategy includes a redesigned logo and an advertising campaign scheduled to debut in early July. Since its founding in 1981, Great Plains has morphed from a developer of accounting software for personal computers into a provider of business management software for mid-size companies. For the first nine months of fiscal year 1999, which ended Feb. 28, Great Plains reported revenue of $94.8 million, a 59% increase over the same period a year earlier.
