Haemonetics taps Global Healthcare Exchange

Braintree, Mass.—Haemonetics Corp., a designer and manufacturer of automated blood-processing systems, said it has deployed Global Healthcare Exchange, an Internet-based ordering system for hospitals and other health care companies. Founded in March, GHX’s goal is to build a standard industry catalog and Web-based ordering system for 100 supplier members and 600 hospitals. The company’s members include Johnson & Johnson, Baxter International Inc., Becton and Dickinson & Co.
