Nearly half of digital and direct marketers will hire in the first quarter

Owatonna, Minn.—Forty-seven percent of digital and direct agencies and marketing companies plan to add staff in the first quarter, according to Bernhart Associates' “Quarterly Digital and Direct Marketing Hiring Report.” The report was based on an online survey of 338 senior executives at direct and digital marketing companies, conducted between Jan. 7 and Jan. 14. Last year, 52% of direct and digital marketers said they planned to hire in the first quarter. The top positions being sought in this year's first quarter are analytics related, followed by sales, creative and product management, according to the survey.
