San Antonio, Texas—Direct marketing agency Harte-Hanks has laid off employees at facilities throughout the U.S. The cuts involved less than 1% of its roughly 7,000 employees, according to CFO Doug Shepard, who joined the company in January.

“We’re realigning our expenses to better serve our customer needs,” Shepard said. Harte-Hanks also plans to close one of its 30 fulfillment centers by the end of the year.
