Hewlett-Packard, SAP form marketing partnership

New York--German software giant SAP AG and Hewlett-Packard Co. this week announced a partnership to market software and services aimed at helping buyers and suppliers collaborate on the Web. Financial terms were not disclosed, but spokespeople for HP and SAP described it as a multimillion-dollar commitment. The deal would combine HP hardware with SAP inventory and planning software, and also involve joint sales and marketing efforts. In addition HP, said it would license SAP's supply chain software, which enables companies to share its planning and purchasing details with suppliers, across its entire worldwide organization.
