BtoB tries new marketplace model

Atlanta--To help drive liquidity for its fledgling marketplace, Wednesday inked an agreement with the Asian American Hotel Owners Association to bring that group's 17,000 properties onto its Net market. Hsupply will become the e-procurement provider of choice for the association's membership, which spends more than $5 billion annually on supplies. The deal looks like a coup for the independent Hsupply, which is facing new competition from industry-led hospitality marketplaces such as that of Hilton Corp., which is working with Hsupply rival PurchasePro.
