IAEE releases social media best practices

Dallas—The International Association of Exhibitions and Events has released “Social Media Best Practices for Exhibitions and Events.”

The report, which was produced by the IAEE's Social Media Task Force, provides descriptions of social media terms, outlets and basic requirements, as well as tips for planning and executing social media campaigns in support of exhibitions and events.

“This document will take some of the guesswork out of understanding the playing field in this very dynamic communication medium,” said IAEE Chairman Chris Meyer, who also serves as VP-sales for the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority.

The report is available for free to association members, or $99 for nonmembers, on the association's website at

The IAEE also said it will provide additional resources about social media on its website.
