Armonk, N.Y.—IBM Corp. plans to open a Client Center for Advanced Analytics in Columbus, Ohio, focusing on Big Data analytics needs for IBM clients.
The center, to advance research, development, client services and skills training in analytics, Big Data and cognitive computing, also will partner with Ohio State University to develop a Big Data analytics curriculum, the company said in a statement.
The center also will focus on creating new markets for the commercialization of IBM's Watson supercomputer system,
its "Smarter Commerce"
marketing campaign, and social business client capabilities, the company said.
