San Francisco—IDG Strategic Marketing Services has introduced a new online ad unit, called the Nanosite, which enables an online ad to act as a microsite. Landing page, lead generation forms, video and white papers are incorporated into the ad unit.
IDG SMS worked with Widgetbox and its ClickTurn technology to develop the Nanosite Ad Unit. IDG says the new Nanosite ads reduce the complexity associated with rich media campaigns for both advertisers and publishers.
IDG Enterprise brands such as Computerworld and CIO are already offering Nanosite ad units for their advertising clients. Intel Corp. was the first advertiser to use the Nanosite ad unit.
