IDG rolls out TechNetwork

Framingham, Mass.—Technology publishing company IDG Communications has introduced the IDG TechNetwork (, an online hub designed to help advertisers get their messages in front of bloggers and independent publishers.

So far, 100 bloggers have been approved for the network, with each being vetted by IDG editors. These bloggers cover several tech-related categories, such as hardware, mobile, security and storage.

“These individuals are known well in the tech space and have large followings. But typically they’re individuals who don’t have the resources for monetization and audience development,” said Kevin Normandeau, VP-sales and business development for the IDG Network. “We want to bring advertisers additional scale and the convenience of dealing with one publisher.”

He added: “Our advertisers need to reach people who are increasingly influencing the purchasing of technology products.”

IDG will split advertising revenue with the bloggers participating in the network.
