Intel kicks off new ad campaign

Santa Clara, Calif.—Intel Corp. has introduced a global ad campaign, “A New Era of Computing,” to promote Intel-inspired ultrabook computers. The campaign, estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars, is Intel's largest marketing effort since it launched Centrino in 2003. The campaign debuted April 6 with a TV spot called “Desperado,” as well as a paid promotion on Twitter; it will be followed by more TV spots rolling out in May, as well as print and online ads. Venables, Bell & Partners, San Francisco, created the campaign.
