Korn/Ferry publishes job description for new ABM leader

New York—Executive search firm Korn/Ferry International has defined the qualities it is looking for in a successor to American Business Media President-CEO Gordon T. Hughes II. The new hire will "serve as the leader of transformation for the association," the job description says. It also says: "Given the economic challenges facing the association and its members, the President and CEO will need to innovate in a cost-savings environment and be creative in deploying limited resources to deliver on ABM member value." The ABM is looking for an executive with at least 10 years of senior-level experience in the b-to-b arena or related field. Additionally, the job description says, "S/he will have the ability to view the marketplace through a 'digital lens' and understand the continued emergence of digital business platforms as they influence the future b-to-b media model.” Hughes is retiring this summer, and ABM hopes to have his replacement ready to step in.
