Magazine ad revenue up 6.1% in first half

New York—Magazine rate card-reported advertising revenue totaled $11.8 billion in the first half, up 6.1% from the same period last year, according to the Magazine Publishers of America’s Publishers Information Bureau.

Revenue for the second quarter increased 5.2% to $6.5 billion. Direct response and media & advertising were among the eight major ad categories that saw an increase in the first half.
