Marketing execs group says most marketers beginners at social media

Old Saybrook, Conn.—A new study by the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG) found that 67% of marketers consider themselves beginners at using social media. Additionally, 87% of marketers say they are not regularly measuring ROI on their social media marketing efforts.

The study was based on an online survey of 139 executive-level marketers, conducted in September and October.

“Our members are excited about the potential of social media, but most have not yet fully integrated social media practices into their traditional marketing efforts,” said Richard Guha, chairman of MENG.

MENG is an international association of more than 2,000 of executive-level marketers.
