Redmond, Wash.—Microsoft Corp. announced Wednesday that Mich Mathews will retire from her position as senior VP-central marketing group, after more than two decades at the software company.
She will leave her job at the end of the summer to pursue other opportunities, which she has not yet identified.
In the interim, Mathews will work with Kevin Turner, chief operating officer at Microsoft, while the company identifies a successor.
“Mich has been instrumental in driving growth of the Microsoft business while also building the Microsoft brand, which consistently has placed in the top 10 of many brand strength and image indicators,” Microsoft said in a statement. “We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Mich for her many contributions during a time of incredible growth and change for Microsoft and the industry.”
Mathews has been named as a BtoB top marketer for the past six years.
