Late this past summer, IDG rebranded its corporate sales unit as IDG Strategic Marketing Services. At the same time, Yorke was promoted from senior VP to president of the unit. "Today just over one-third of our revenue comes from programs and services that are ancillary to the media part of the business," Yorke told Media Business. He also championed the Amplify online ad unit, which is designed to connect a marketer's message with social media.
