McCann Erickson shifts Microsoft Xbox account to San Francisco; expands creative team

San Francisco—McCann Erickson has shifted control of its estimated $100 million Microsoft Corp. Xbox account from its New York office to its San Francisco office and expanded its creative team to handle the business.

McCann Erickson San Francisco announced that Scott Duchon, Geoff Edwards, Gerald Lewis and Chris Toland have joined the agency as group creative directors. Duchon and Edwards were previously associate creative directors at TBWA/Chiat/Day, San Francisco. They will be working on the Xbox account in San Francisco.

Lewis was previously associate creative director at Ogilvy & Mather, New York, and Toland was previously senior art director at Fallon/West Wing, Los Angeles. Lewis and Toland will work on Microsoft Corp. and other accounts.

In addition, Mike Harris has joined the agency as strategy director on Microsoft’s Xbox account. Harris was previously director of strategy at TBWA/Chiat/Day, San Francisco.

McCann also announced that Courtney Buechert, exec VP-general manager of McCann Erickson San Francisco, has added the role of global brand director on the Xbox account and head of TAG, McCann’s young adult marketing agency, in San Francisco.
