New media ventures target influential female executives

The site was founded by Linda Coughlin, who serves on the board of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council and is a founding partner of Women Impacting Public Policy. “There are a lot of organizations that promote leadership and growth of your business in terms of corporate connections and advocacy, but there were no sites to support woman-owned businesses,” Coughlin said. The site provides opportunities for women entrepreneurs to make connections, share information and encourage doing business with one another. Another media property targeting women in business is Global Exec Women, which includes a Web site ( and magazine aimed at women who do business globally. Global Exec Women, currently a quarterly, will move to a bimonthly frequency next year. M
