Michael Ricci to lead Merkle’s new mobile marketing service

Columbia, Md.—Database marketing agency Merkle has created a new mobile marketing service for its clients, to be led by former Obama presidential campaign guru Michael Ricci.

Ricci formerly was VP-creative and strategy with iLoop Mobile, and played a central role in mobile Internet strategy for then-Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in 2008. Prior to iLoop, Ricci headed up content services at Volantis Systems, a mobile Internet technology provider.

In his new position, Ricci will take advantage of his relationship with iLoop, using that company’s mobile platform to augment Merkle’s client campaigns.
