Microsoft hires former 'Business Week' exec to oversee direct marketing, brand advertising sales

Redmond, Wash--Microsoft Corp. said Thursday it has hired former Business Week VP-North American Sales Joanne K. Bradford as VP-chief media revenue officer for its Microsoft Network properties. Bradford will lead efforts by Microsoft to translate 270 million unique monthly visitors into significant direct marketing and advertising sales revenue. Bradford had been with Business Week for 12 years and is said to have a formidable roster of advertising agency and advertiser contacts.
