Monster allies with Adicio on Web news classified

New York—Monster Worldwide has joined forces with software company Adicio Inc. to supply classified jobs advertising to 250 U.S. newspaper Web sites.

Under the deal, Monster customers will be able to purchase print advertising from Adicio media partners later this year through Monster’s new “click to print” service, which will transform online ads into print.

The deal also allows for Adicio’s customers to co-brand their Web sites with Monster. Adicio is 40% owned by Dow Jones & Co.

“Today’s announcement represents a tremendous opportunity to increase Monster’s localized points of distribution across the country—which is a key component of our strategy to drive market share, particularly among the small and midsize business segment,” said Doug Klinger, president of Monster North America, in a statement.
