On the Move: Changes at Veronis Shuler Stevenson, TechTarget, Bloomberg, 'Smart Money'

John J. Veronis announced that he has withdrawn from partnership in Veronis Suhler Stevenson, the private equity firm he co-founded in 1981. Veronis served as chairman and co-CEO of VSS. Although his partnership interest has been redeemed by the firm, Veronis will maintain his investment commitments to VSS funds. Jeffrey T. Stevenson will continue to serve as managing partner of VSS. John Suhler, who co-founded the firm with Veronis, continues as president. Jeff Wakely has been hired as CFO of technology media company TechTarget. He previously was chief accounting officer at NetScout Systems. He succeeds Eric Sockol, whose resignation was announced Feb. 8. Bloomberg L.P. announced that Sarah Feinberg will become the company's director of communication and business strategy efforts June 14. She also will take a senior leadership position in a new Bloomberg division that will provide information about the business implications of government actions. Feinberg previously served as special assistant to President Obama and senior adviser to Rahm Emanuel, White House chief of staff. Dow Jones & Co.'s SmartMoney has named Ed Diller publisher, effective July 1. Currently, Diller serves as multimedia sales director for The Wall Street Journal in San Francisco. Andy Seibert, president-publisher of Smart Money, will retain the title of president.
