AllBusiness.com, an online resource for small and midsize businesses, has named Kathy Yates CEO. Yates succeeds Peter Horan, who has accepted a new position as CEO of IAC media and advertising. Yates joined AllBusiness.com in 2005 as COO. She was previously president-COO of MarketWatch.com, where she guided the sale of the company to Dow Jones & Co. for $519 million in January 2005.
Investors.com picks Ferrara as VP-online ad director
Investor's Business Daily named Jerry Ferrara VP-online ad director for Investors.com. Ferrara succeeds Terri Chiodo, who left to start her own consulting company. Ferrara, who has been with Investor's Business Daily for more than six years, will oversee several enhancements planned this year for Investors.com. He will be based in the company's New York office.
Nielsen Business Media chooses Corcoran to be group publisher
Nielsen Business Media, formerly VNU Business Media, has named Dan Corcoran group publisher of the Performance Group. He will oversee advertising sales of Incentive, Sales & Marketing Management and Potentials. Prior to joining Nielsen, Corcoran served as publisher and sales director of Advanstar Communications' Formulary Journal and Managed Healthcare Executive.
Cygnus hires Parsha as manager of interactive platforms
Cygnus Business Media has named David Parsha corporate manager of its interactive platforms. Parsha will be responsible for managing vendor relationships and tracking the performance of interactive operations. Prior to joining Cygnus, Parsha spent more than 10 years at Bloomberg, where he was responsible for developing business strategy for Bloomberg News and Media.
Mansueto taps Dorst to lead strategic marketing
Mansueto Ventures has hired Karen Dorst as account development director of Inc.com and FastCompany.com. Dorst will be responsible for the planning of all integrated advertising campaigns for both Web sites. Before joining Mansueto, Dorst was a senior partner and operations director for RMGConnect, a division of J. Walter Thompson Co. She will be based in Mansueto's New York Office.
