Nielsen//NetRatings launches census-based site measurement service

New York--Online audience measurement service Nielsen//NetRatings, part of NetRatings Inc., on Monday announced it has launched SiteCensus, a census-based site measurement service that validates Web site circulation for online media executives and online publishers. Targeted primarily at Web sites with smaller audiences, SiteCensus combines demographic sampling, custom research and tracking technology. The service was launched in partnership with Portland, Ore.-based SelectMetrics Inc., an audience measurement technology company.
