Omniture unveils suite to personalize landing pages, product offers

Orem, Utah—Online marketing and Web analytics company Omniture Inc. has introduced an application that gives marketers the ability to automatically personalize the content or product recommendations offered to Web site visitors.

Omniture Recommendations, part of the company’s Online Marketing Suite, uses prebuilt algorithms to display relevant products or content based on a combination of criteria, including the user’s previous page views, cart adds and removes, as well as overall site activity. Marketers can modify the recommendations based on such parameters as price ranges, product categories and other variables.

The company said Omniture Recommendations allows marketers to test and optimize recommendations to derive maximum campaign lift. Its integration with third-party e-mail applications helps extend recommendations across multiple channels.

Omniture also announced a partnership with Eloqua to deliver a joint solution to track and measure online marketing programs.

Under the partnership, Eloqua’s marketing automation platform will be integrated with business optimization software from Omniture to provide marketers with reports and insight into their online marketing campaigns.

The program was announced at the Omniture Summit 2009 this week in Salt Lake City.
