Online advertising revenue hits $8.2 billion

New York--The Interactive Advertising Bureau reported that Internet advertising revenue reached $8.2 billion in 2000, with fourth-quarter revenue of $2.2 billion. While fourth-quarter revenue was up 9% over third-quarter revenue, the increase was significantly lower than historical levels, according to the IAB and PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P., which administered the revenue report.
