Penton's Urgent Communications goes all-digital, rebrands

New York—Penton announced that Urgent Communications, a media brand that covers communications technology for the government, public safety, utility, transportation and enterprise sectors, has ceased print publication effective with this month's issue. UC will continue publishing on its website and in its twice-weekly UC Today e-newsletter. UC also will be rebranded as IWCE's Urgent Communications to more closely align it with Penton's International Wireless Communications Expo trade show and educational conference. “Our goal is to expand the reach of IWCE by providing continuing education year-round that will make our readers more proficient,” said Stacey Orlick, IWCE content director, in a statement.
