Cleveland—Penton Media, which struggled mightily to stay afloat just a few years ago amid a series of financial setbacks, reported third-quarter revenue of $51 million, up 14% from $44 million a year earlier. Penton said the growth was driven in part by a shift in the timing of its Natural Products Expo East from the fourth quarter of 2004 to the third quarter of this year. The company reported net income of $259,000 for the third quarter, compared with a loss of $44.4 million a year earlier.
