Emeryville, Calif.—E-mail marketing solutions provider Lyris Technologies this week released poll results indicating that Yahoo!, Hotmail and AOL remain the predominant delivery channels for opt-in commercial e-mail communications. Twenty-six percent of U.S. Internet users are receiving opt-in commercial e-mails at Yahoo! accounts, 21% at Hotmail accounts and 13% at AOL accounts. Only 8% are receiving opt-in commercial e-mails at their work e-mail accounts. The poll results, based on 126 responses from a nationally representative sample based on age, gender and income, also indicated that 30% of American Internet users have one e-mail account, 37% have two accounts, 19% have three accounts and 13% have four or more accounts.
