PricewaterhouseCoopers, Entrust sign b-to-b Web security pact

New York-based PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. and Entrust Technologies Inc., Plano, Texas, signed an extensive b-to-b Web security deal. PWC's new Web security unit, BeTRUSTed SM, will market Entrust's public-key infrastructure to PWC's b-to-b clients. A PKI provides a secure Internet infrastructure for issuing and managing digital certificates--the online equivalent of signatures. PWC has dedicated more than 40 consultants to Entrust's platforms.
