Primedia reports higher revenue, smaller loss

New York--Primedia, the parent company of Intertec Publishing, reported higher revenue and a narrower loss for the second quarter. Revenue from Primedia's continuing businesses grew 14.9%, from $371 million in the second quarter of 1998 to $426.3 million in the same period this year. The company lost $4.9 million in the just-completed quarter, compared with $7.3 million a year earlier.
