Prism’s ‘Beef’ launches, targeting nation’s smaller beef producers

New York—Prism Business Media’s Beef last week launched a new Web site,, aimed at beef operations with fewer than 100 head of cattle. The market consists of more than 700,000 part-time cattle growers, representing 85% of the nation’s producers, according to Prism. The site will offer “American Cowman Update,” a biweekly e-mail newsletter featuring industry news and management advice, as well as links to industry organizations and markets and weather information.
