Putnam Investments launches first TV campaign

Boston--Putnam Investments will launch on Oct. 24 its first TV advertising campaign. The campaign, which is aimed in part at Putnam's more than 1,000 institutional clients, will run for three months. Putnam's campaign, named "Boundaries," shows people staying within lines--for example a woman swimming within a pool's lap lane, and a girl playing hopscotch. The idea is to convey the analogy of staying disciplined while investing. The commercial will be run nationally on such stations as Bloomberg Television, CNBC and CNNfn. Putnam has more than $320 billion in assets under management.
