Washington, D.C.—The radio industry Tuesday announced plans for a comprehensive advertising campaign designed to underscore the medium’s relevance.

The campaign, titled "Radio Heard Here," was created by a partnership formed by the National Association of Broadcasters, which represents 8,300 radio and TV stations; Radio Advertising Bureau; and HD Digital Radio Alliance.

The effort will initially feature radio, print and outdoor ads. It will also include public relations efforts and video shorts posted on YouTube, Google Video and other online outlets.
