Silverpop optimizes for timed e-mail delivery

Atlanta—Online marketing company Silverpop has added a new e-mail feature to its online marketing suite that analyzes recipients’ behavior to predict the ideal time to deliver a message.

Silverpop’s new Send Time Optimization feature, added to its Engage product, determines the precise day and time individual recipients are most likely to be in their e-mail inboxes, and then via a single send individually delivers messages to those recipients across multiple time zones worldwide, according to the company.

The feature addresses the different ways people interact with their e-mail, with some checking messages throughout the day and others restricting their inbox time to certain period of the day. Precision delivery helps assure high inbox visibility, the company said.
