Stagnito acquires private label retail media brands

Deerfield, Ill.—Stagnito Media, which covers the food and retail sectors, has acquired three publications and their related products from E.W. Williams Publications Co. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The magazines acquired are Private Label, Private Label China and Private Label International, which have a combined circulation of 45,000. Steven Lichtenstein, VP-group publisher, will continue to manage the publications. “These brands are a perfect fit for the rest of our retail-driven portfolio, and this acquisition continues our investment in extending our reach in the retail market,” said Harry Stagnito, president-CEO of Stagnito Media, in a statement. Stagnito Media publishes Convenience Store News, Progressive Grocer and Store Brands, among other titles. Private Label and Store Brands will be combined into one publication to be called Private Label-Store Brands. The deal comes nine months after Stagnito Media was sold to private equity company Topspin Partners for an undisclosed sum.
