Study: 46% of b-to-b Web sites profitable after three years

Peterborough, N.H.--Experience may separate the have and have-nots online. A new study shows 46% of b-to-b companies that have been online for three years or more are profitable today, compared with only 32% of all b-to-b Web sites. The study, conducted by ActivMedia Research L.L.C., found that 18% of b-to-b companies sell directly online. The study said many b-to-b marketers are being forced to do business online as a matter of survival.
